Open postdoc position in GIScience

Our lab has a postdoc position open to conduct interdisciplinary GIScience research on cyberinfrastructure, knowledge graph and data-driven analytics. The job ad can be found here. We will start our review on Oct 5 and biweekly thereafter.

Two PhD student positions

(1) PhD student opening in GeoAI and image analysis

We are looking for a talented PhD student with expertise in GeoAI and image analysis. The student will join a group of GIScientists, geographers and cartographers to develop novel AI solutions to support object detection and other computer vision tasks from multi-source geospatial data.
We expect the students to start in Spring or August 2021.

(2) PhD student opening in Earth science informatics:

We are looking for a talented PhD student with expertise in Earth science informatics (hydrology informatics is preferred) to join a diverse team of social scientists, civil engineers, hydrologists, data scientists, law and policy researchers to work on a NSF convergence research project to develop new solutions to provide clean water to communities in the US-Mexico border and nationwide.
We expect the students to start in Spring or August 2021.
